I could only imagine a world without this riveting piece of history. More impressive was the talent that went into making them – how 8000 army of horsemen and warriors and generals were so well and precisely designed, and preserved for more than 2000 years. More so, they are such a marvel to see. Thus, this historical site is hands down one of China’s best epic tourist sites.

These striations of bare rock can be seen in the Gobi desert region of the Gansu province of China. These mountains are not, however, painted by human hands. The Huang He, otherwise known as the yellow river, is absolutely a must visit for every tourist. The river runs through nine provinces, and has been noted as China’s second longest river. But no river is yellow on its own, so why does it have its lovely yellow hue?
