Old man (83) was kicked out of expensive car dealership – then salespeople found out who he really was

Benny’s boss requested that he throw out an old man in tattered clothes who persistently appeared at the expensive vehicle dealership. He complied with instructions, although it made him upset. Benny never imagined that he would lay eyes on the old man again, but he did. One day, a few cars turned up in front of the shop. The old man appeared, but this time he was not by himself. They went into the store and, seeing Benny, immediately attacked him.

A premium auto dealer

Benny is a five-year veteran premium car salesperson. He had tried his best and knew all the tricks of the trade. It started a week ago. He made calls all day in the hopes of finalizing a big sale. It worsened by the day. He needed to act fast or else lose his job. All attempts at approaching potential customers were in vain. The manager called a meeting when three weeks went by with no sale at all. Everyone in the staff had to report there. He honestly had no idea anything was amiss and no idea how to correct it. It took the owner only three minutes to affirm Benny’s worst nightmare—losing his job. All of the employees were let go and the store would be up for sale. Benny was devastated by the situation since he had a family to feed

A Disappointing Surprise

Apart from shutting down and disposing of the business, the owner had also filed for bankruptcy. Although he still possessed a large amount of money in the bank, his lawyer had identified a loophole. The entire workforce was disappointed by this news. The owner did not owe the workers anything since he laid them off as the store went bankrupt. Benny was heartbroken when he found out that he would not get the entire sum guaranteed. Benny would be the first senior staff to make it to the manager at their scheduled meeting later that afternoon. Upon arriving at the store, a very nicely dressed man escorted him to the office of the previous owner. Benny was sure the customers for the store were very rich. However, he never did know exactly whom he would encounter.

Benny slammed the office door and he gasped in shock. There was no doubt that he recognized this man and that this man recognized him. When the new owner saw Benny, he just smiled. I promised you that I would not forget about you, he said. Benny stopped at that moment and just stared at the man. The new owner was the old fellow that Benny had thrown out of the store a few months previously. “How is that possible! ” he wondered. The old fellow noticed how perplexed Benny was, and he sat down with him to make things clear.

Apparently, the old man was not just any auto enthusiast. He was the wealthiest man in town and an extremely affluent businessman. He had considered buying this auto shop for a while, but he wished to first get a true sense of it. Benny didn’t know how to respond to that or what to tell the old man.

All the people were reinstated, and the old man offered the management job to Benny. Benny was glad to have his job back. The company reopened after three days, and customers thronged in. It has never been busier before, and turnovers were a lot too. Everything was okay in the end and Benny had never felt more content. All this came about because Benny always acted well towards the old man.
