1. Langkawi Sky Bridge, Malaysia

This stunning walking bridge, finished in 2005, spans 410 feet over Malaysia’s mountains of Langkawi.
To gain access, tourists have to ride a cable car and then take the SkyGlide lift. Standing at 2,170 feet above sea level, it really feels like walking on clouds!
2. Eshima Ohashi Bridge, Japan

It was planned to accommodate 8,000 visitors a day but was swamped by 80,000! Authorities were forced to shut it down temporarily to enhance the infrastructure.

Swaying 328 feet over Swiss glaciers, this bridge was unstable initially due to the absence of support cables upon construction in 2004. It was eventually stabilized in 2009, but crossing it is still an adventure!

9. Plank Bridge, Indonesia

While the technologically advanced buildings on this list are struggling to stand, this Indonesian wooden plank bridge is only barely in one piece. Locals who must travel across take their time, praying they won’t tumble into the river below.
